Dr Rachel Densham, BA(Hons), MSc, DProf CounsPsych

I am a Counselling Psychologist who works with adults and young people across a broad range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety (panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder), trauma and PTSD, grief, stress and burnout, low self-esteem, substance misuse, personality disorders, emotion regulation and relationship difficulties.

I have been practicing in private, voluntary and NHS secondary healthcare settings in the UK for the past ten years and am dedicated to providing compassionate and skilful psychological support to help people navigate the inevitable challenges they face in life.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, identify their goals and build on their strengths and resources. My approach combines professional expertise, evidence-based therapies and a genuine commitment to helping clients to heal and transform.

I am privileged to work with a diverse group of people from all backgrounds and each at a different stage of recovery. As such, my approach and treatment plans are bespoke and tailored to the requirements of each individual.

WHY WORK WITH ME?

I am a Counselling Psychologist chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Earlier in my professional career, I worked as a corporate lawyer in the City of London. However, it was my own experience of therapy that was the catalyst I needed to retrain as a psychologist. I am passionate about helping others in a relatable and personable way, supporting them through difficult times, and providing them with the best tools available to build confidence and resilience.
